Question : I'm taking lisinopril with taurine will that raise my creatinine clearence?
Brief Answer:
No interaction between the two.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
There is no known adverse interaction between Taurine and Lisininopril.
Lisinopril being an ACEI can raise the blood creatinine. This is more if there is a renal artery narrowing as cause of the blood pressure. In the absence of renal artery stenosis, the elevation in blood creatinine is not significant in most cases and the medicine can be continued as it stabilizes in a week's time.
Glomerular filtration rate and creatinine clearance are usually inversely related to the blood creatinine value and may be affected only to a non significant level usually.
No interaction between the two.
