Question : last night I woke up with a splitting headache and when I got up to get some Tylenol, I was walking I couldn't get my balance. This is the first time I have experienced this and it scared me. I have a family history of heart attacks and heart trouble. I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol I am taking medications for. Do you think this may be a sign of an aneurism or something?

Brief Answer:
For now, monitor only. Too soon to think of such!

Detailed Answer:
HI and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this headache that you had. It is not uncommon and not necessarily caused by a life threatening condition such as stroke. Aspirin is fine if you are not already on regular low dose aspirin, ask your doctor about this because of the disease conditions and family history of heart attacks. This is clearly not stroke and not aneurysm. If it were, believe me the symptoms would have long become worse. At this time, monitor only and seek further care if this happens on more regular basis.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
