Do Throat Muscle Cramps Indicate A Sinus Infection?

default
Posted on Mon, 16 Oct 2017
Question: Hello,
I normally deal with sinus infections throughout the year. About a week ago I started feeling the symptoms of a sinus infection again and started taking over the counter meds. With in the past two days I started having pain in my throat muscles. Not my throat like a sore throats but like my muscles are cramping.

So I'm wondering why my throat muscles are cramping and what I should do to take care of it. Also, how serious is this because it seems to get better then gets worse.

You should get a xray paranasal sinuses done.
There is nothing alarming but sinusitis must be investigated and managed accordingly.
Use a fluticasone nasal spray twice daily. It will help you with symptoms. Also take tablet levocetrizine plus psuedophedrine twice daily for a week.
All the medicine prescribed by me will be available only on prescription.
