Please refer to the detailed information below

Detailed Answer:
Hello Vidhya, I hope everything is going well on your side.

I have went through the entire holter report and I would like to tell you that the report is fairly alright. There is no significant finding except for some premature beats here n there during these 6 days.

I would like to know what symptoms you were experiencing for which this test was done.

Also we’re there any episodes of giddiness or blackouts ? How’s your thyroid levels ?

Regards

Doctor, I don't have any symptoms of giddiness or blackouts. I have recently checked my thyroid and it's in normal range. I have feelings of skipped or missed beats often... sometimes they go away... sometimes they trouble where I get 3 to 4 weird beats in a minute and they might stay all day..so it depends...

Also can I know what do you mean by Fairly alright? Is that an average report? Does a healthy person's report vary from this? Thank you..

Brief Answer:
Hello again

Detailed Answer:
Your report is alright don’t worry. However if your missed beats are affecting your quality of life then I would suggest to take tab Ciplar 20 mg for 15 days and see if you feel any better. You may discuss this with your doctor.

However if these missed beats are not very frequent then there is no need for any medications as these are part of normal physiology.

Alright doctor.. I have heard from a friend that instead of a beta blocker, magnesium supplements help to reduce them... Can you brief on that? Is it good to take magnesium supplements for the ectopics?

Brief Answer:
Hello again

Detailed Answer:
Yes, magnesium supplement can be another option for managing ectopics. However, this approach is more useful if bodies magnesium stores are depleted.

So, ideally it’s advisable to check magnesium levels if supplement is to be started.
