Ambien is not included in standard urine drug test and do not show on urine test. However if the testing doctor have suspicion they may order test for ambien and it may show.

Yesterday I asked if ambien would show up on a urin test. Dr. Kumas replied & said that ambien would not show on urin test. Just for backup I asked the Dr. That prescribed the ambien & he said it would show on urin test, so who is right? I need to know the truth. Thx

Thanks for follow up.

If your drug testing authority suspects that there is abuse of ambien they may include it for testing and it will show in test if there is abuse.

However if you go for routine drug testing ambien is not part of testing and will not be shown on the standard test.
