Brief Answer:
Yes hair loss is a potential side effect

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com
This is Dr. Swarnava dattagupta answering your query.

Though there are not any proved data of apixaban causing hair loss, still from many papers and clinical practice, I might say that yes, new onset hair loss is a potential side effect of apixaban use. Basically, all the oral anticoagulants are associated with hair loss, and apixaban, the new factor Xa inhibitor drug, also is in the same league. Some papers suggest that it causes hair loss in less than 1% population using apixaban but however, the numbers might be a bit higher.

Hope i have answered your question.
If you have any further questions i will be happy to help.
Regards
