Brief Answer:
Very very unlikely

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal
I have read your query.

I think its purely incidental that this has happened.
Botox is given subcutaneously at a local region into the target muscle.
Its affect lasts 2-3 months only.
ALS is a nerve disorder at approximately the place where nerves come out of the brain and spinal cord. So as you may notice, they are not even close.

Botox is given for abnormal movements. ALS has a symptom of abnormal movements. And ALS develops very slowly.

In fact I feel that the chances are that the doctor was trying to help treat the symptom of abnormal movement which affects both the conditons. She may have had the symptoms because of ALS before, but since ALS is slow developing, it may have come to fore later while the doctor tried to treat the symptoms of movement disorder using botox.

Thats what I feel is the matter.
Please feel free to contact me for any further details.
Best of luck
Dr Mittal
