Question : My doctor has recommended Bystolic for treatment for tachycardia without hypertension. Does this sound reasonable?

Bystolic contains nebivolol which is a selective beta-adrenoblocker and blocks certain receptors to cause the blood vessels to relax. This will bring down the heart rate. As there is no hypertension, it will not have any effect on your blood pressure if it is in the normal range.

Medical research studies have shown that it can be given to control tachycardia in patients without hypertension.

Please take Bystolic as recommended by your doctor and do not stop taking it without asking your doctor.
