Question : I am scheduled to be taking methyprednisolone 36 mg twice before being administered. XXXXXXX for contrast ct scan for abdomen to pelvis, I take to prowl XML 50 MGM x 2. Will the cortisone interfere and I have atrial fib. My biggest. Concern will the cortisone cause me to go into atrial fib?

There is no need to be concerned sunce corticosteroid wont have effect on heart function and rhythm unless in very high dosages . You should just check your kidney function before having XXXXXXX since it is removed from out organism through kidneys. Wish you good health. Regards

I am assuming u do not consider 32 MGM taken twice' the first time 8 hrs befor scan and then 2 he's befor scan to cause concern about my atri fib. Will take my 50 MGM Toporol xjl also that morning.

These dosages of mgm won't affect heart rhythm and won't lead to fibrillation worsening. Antihipertensives such as metoprolol as well, so you should take both these medicines . XXXXXXX can lead only to allergy reactions and can't cause interactions with antihipertrnsive drugs
