default
Posted on Mon, 20 Jun 2016
Question: Eight hours ago I took 60mg of Cymbalta then four hours ago I took 40mg of Oxycodone for a bad pain, one and a half hours ago I took 1.75mg of Ativan for a bad panic attack. I am still having a bad panic attack and am wondering if I can take any of my anxiety meds? I have Xanax .25mg, .5mg and 1mg and Ativan .25mg, .5mg and 1mg or Klonopin .5mg and 1mg. Which of these can I take and how much? or should I not take them at all?

Brief Answer:
Klonopin.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concerns.

I would suggest you to take klonopin 0.5mg now.
The benzos are usually safe and do not have serious interactions with most drugs. Except, these can increase sedation.

But since your anxiety is severe, you will have to take a benzo now. Klonopin is my choice simply I have most faith in this benzo in my clinical experience.

Keep your doctor informed about this.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
