Question : My teenage granddaughter takes depakote ER 500 mg twice daily. She has a dry cough and I want to know if any cough medicine that should NOT be taken with her medications

Any cough syrup which contains Chlorpheniramine like Coldcough syrup can produce sedation, drowsiness , dizziness, confusion and difficulty in concentration when used with Depakote and is better avoided.
