Phenytoin (dilatin) would decrease the level of the eliquis. It induces the action of an enzyme (chemical that acts as a catalyst) that is involved in the breakdown of eliquis.

This can cause substantially reduced levels of the eliquis which would mean that th eliquis is not able to carry out its job to reduce the risk of clotting.

This combination is not usually advised
