I understand your concerns.

However, finasteride doesn't cause prostate cancer. It is in fact used to prevent prostate cancer. But it prevents mostly the low grade ones and not the high grade more aggressive cancers. So net effect is less prostate cancer overall but a higher proportion of high grade ones.

But it doesn't cause these high grade cancers.
