Question : my mom has to take flagyl for her stomach. i was googling and some sites said the medicine causes seizures is that true ?

Seizures are one of the rare side effects of metronidazole encountered in patients who are given high doses of metronidazole of week and months.

Google shows even the side effects which are very rare.
Frankly speaking i don't think there is any need to worry.
Metronidazole is one of the safest and widely used drug of all the times.
In fact in last 30 years i have not encountered even a single patient who had seizures just because of metronidazole.
Suggestion-
Don't panic.
Don't google too much in case you want to google then read datas from trusted sites like NCBI.
Rest assured a short term therapy with metronidazole will not do any harm to her.
