Brief Answer:
HIV test not affected by local steroid creams...

Detailed Answer:

Sofradex contains framycetin, gramicidin and dexamethazone.

It is available as a cream preparation which can be use as local application.

Since it is a locally applicable, it is not absorbed and distributed in whole body.

So it will not affect the HIV test.

If you have used systemic steroidal drugs than your HIV test will be affected.

doctor
Answered by Dr. Arun (13 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Some cases needs PCR confirmation..

Detailed Answer:
Antibodies test has some limitation.

It may give false negative tests in some cases.

In doubtful cases confirmation can be done by NAAT (Nucleic Acid Amplification Test) or PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction).

The names of the drugs you have mentioned never affect HIV antibodies test results.
