Does I-pill Ingestion Prior To The Intercourse Help Prevent Pregnancy?
Question: 6 days back my wife had an ipill first after that we had sex. Last night she had an ipill and this morning we had sex. Basically she consumed the ipill prior to intercourse both the times. I am worried as we don't want the pregnancy. Please advise if the 2 ipills consumed will work and be effective to stop. Do they have to be taken after intercourse. We wanted to be safe so she had before intercourse.

Dont worry, if she had taken just before sex.It is considered as safe.
She should take complete dosage of i pill and it should be taken within 72hrs after unprotected sex.

I know that it has to be taken after sex within 72 hours and that's why I am asking you if it works the same if taken before sex?

I Pill Tablet contains Levonorgestrel as an active ingredient. It is a hormone.
which prevents ovulation.ie it works by stopping ovaries from releasing an egg.
So if she had taken just before or few hours before sex or after sex within 72hrs ,if prevents ovulation and thus prevents pregnancy.
If she had taken just before sex then dont worry.She is safe

she took ipill roughly a day before sex. both times which is 6 days back and last night. it is not a course she is taking but just to be safe she took to avoid unwanted pregnancy. please do help if it will stop the pregnancy as I am worried and can't give her one more as it is not required to give so many.
