Ireven 75 is Venlafaxine and the drug belongs to SNRI group of ant anxiety and antidepressant drugs. It works by increasing serotonin and nor epinephrine transmission in brain. Over the entire drug is safe to use and free of serious side effects.

Common side effects are headache, nausea, vomiting, restlessness, dizziness, tremors, dry mouth, somnolence etc. Chronic use may result in delayed ejaculation in males and anorgasmia, decreased libido in females. The drug is known to raise blood pressure at high doses. Over all the drug is safe to use and most of side effects reduce with time.

The headaches which you are having could be getting potentiated by the drug. If the symptoms are very severe then consult your psychiatrist for help.

Duloxetine (also a SNRI) or other drugs like Sertraline, Escitalopram have similar efficacy but less risk of potentiating headache. You can discuss with your psychiatrist for these drugs.
