hi. welcome to health care magic.
MVP indicates mitral valve prolapse .
patients of MVP mostly asymptomatic, but may have non specific symptoms and these are the most commen presentation.

And also complain of chest discomfort, which is more often atypical , not related to exertion and stabbing like.
this pain may be secondary to abnormal tension on valve attached muscles.
