Question: I suffer from anxiety.it is worse since August 2015. I have had many changes the last 6 months. I have seen my doctor 3 times and we adjusted my meds. I have more anxiety at times now.i just am asking if these meds are what you suggest. I can't let go of things in my mind and ruminate/obcessi over things. I want to know if you have suggestions. It is spiiling over into my work. I am nervous or on edge a lot of the time now. I take the following meds currently: Eszpiclone- 2mg at night for sleep as needed; alprazolam. 25 mg every 6 hours as needed; methylphenidate 5 mg , 2tablets 2xs daily; bupropion HCL- 2times per day; and bisoprolol HCTZ -25 mg for blood pressure 1 time a day. He wants to add trazadone-50 mg at night for sleep. Is this the best treatment for me? I haven't had this degree of problems in several years.

Brief Answer:
Change of drugs.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concerns.

I have gone through your details thoroughly.

I have some difference of opinion with your treating doctor.

Methylphenidate is the drug given to treat ADHD. If you have no such symptoms, this drug will increase your Anxiety.

Bupropion is less effective in treating Anxiety as compared to SSRIs like sertraline or escitalopram.

If you are getting good sleep with eszopiclone, there is no need of trazodone.

So, my opinion is,
Change to sertraline or escitalopram from bupropion. Stop methylphenidate if not needed. Increase the dose of alprazolam as needed till your Anxiety is controlled and then reduce it.

Kindly discuss this with your doctor.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
