Does Methylprednisolone Cause Constipation?

Question : I have been diagnosed with Grout in my left knee. I was given Methylprednisolone. Since I have taken these pills, I have not have a bowel movement in the last 5 days. Could this be a side effect?

Hello,

methylprednisolone is not supposed to cause constipation. It may cause diarrhea sometimes but it's not very common... Perhaps another cause has to be considered (another drug, change in nutrition after the attack, etc).
