Does Metoprolol Cause Dizziness?

Question: What can help a fast heart rate? My doctor tried medication but I have low blood pressure and the medicine made me too dizzy. What are some other options?
Brief Answer:
tried metoprolol alone?
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
first of all your doctor should try (I'm sure it's been already done) to determine the cause. If there is no apparent cause and you just need a drug to lower the heart rate to more reasonable levels then metoprolol can do the job and lisinopril is not required, particularly since it may actually cause an increase in heart rate to some patients. You can discuss this option with the treating doctor...
I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!

My Doctor did a catheterization last August and said everything looked good. I've been on the two medications together since July 2016. But they are making me dizzy and the doctor doesn't know if they're doing any good. He told me to stop both of them and he's going to do another echocardiogram next month.
Brief Answer:
sounds like a good plan...
Detailed Answer:
If you don't have any aneurysms or serious heart disease (you don't as I read) then having so low blood pressure is not recommended. Lisinopril is not needed in such cases unless you had other indications like left hypertrophy. Metoprolol could have been tried alone but stopping all the drugs sounds like a good idea to me too...
