Question : How effective is using a Zydus 200 mg pill of mifepristone and 4 200 mg pills of misoprostol taken orally to end a pregnancy that is 4 weeks or less?

                                    Brief Answer:
Its effective
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Mifepristone and misoprostol are given to medically terminate an early pregnancy.
It is 98% effective in successful termination of pregnancy. In rest 2%, it can lead to incomplete abortion or no abortion, thus one has to resort to surgical termination of pregnancy then.
It should taken under the guidance of an OBGYN specialist.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

what about if the pregnancy is only 2 to 3 weeks along? When it was taken, my gf took the mifepristone first with water orally, it was a single 200 mg pill, 24 hours later, she took 4 200 mg pills of misoprostol under her tongue and let them dissolve under her tongue for 30 minutes...2 hours in bleeding snd cramping started, the bleeding was normal at first, slightly heavy and some clots that were small came out, no noticeable clots came and this happened for 8 to 12 hours, not very often, now it has subsided to minimal bleeding, was this comolete? Thanks a lot.

                                    Brief Answer:
Complete abortion
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Bleeding after taking misoprostol is usually heavy with passage of clots and fleshy ass initially, and later it decreases in quantity and unassociated with clots.
It is most probably a complete abortion.
However, she should get a ultrasound done to confirm the fact.
You can get back to me with the ultrasound report.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Hm, okay my last questions are would the clots be less noticeable and smaller so early as compared to someone who would be 4 to 6 weeks? Also, is bloating and feeling heavy a normal symptom 32 hours after misoprostol? Thanks so so much

Definitely the amount of bleeding and clots will be less as compared to someone with more gestational age.
Bloating and heaviness in lower abdomen is common after taking medical abortion.

Again thanks so much, you have been a big help.
