Does Oxybutynin Cause Diarrhea?

Question: MY DOCTOR prescribed oxybutynin 5 mg I just finish my diner and had a explosive case of diarrhea after 60 minutes
Brief Answer:
It is a possible side effect.
Detailed Answer:
Hi!
Diarrhea can occur in 6 to 10 % (6 to 10 out of 100) of persons that use this medication.
It is possible that it may decrease with time but this cannot be predicted.
You can consider continuing it to see if this effect persists. If it does then you may need to speak to your doctor about another option or take a medication to decrease the diarrhea eg Imodium.
I hope this helps.
