Does PRP Method Bring Relief To Neuropathic Pain In Leg?

Question: Hi, doctor. Hope u and the family are all well. Just one quick question since u are an expert in nerves and this pudental nerve in groin area persists with pain, burning and pressure type feeling on bladder (but not from OAB). Doctor has tried a few things to no avail (meds, etc) and I believe I mentioned he next wants to try PRP where my own blood is drawn, cleaned and re-injected into the site. I believe u thought it may help but have not tried it as of yet. My question is this - can u tell me how this procedure may provide some relief? Is it that blood that is cleaner can actually calm down nerves? Thank u so much as always.
Brief Answer:
PRP contains growth factors ant anti-inflammatory substances.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have read your new question regarding the platelet-rich plasma injection for nerve-related symptom improvement.
PRP contains growth factors and anti-inflammatory substances that help in improvement of the neuropathic pain.
So, are the components of the blood more concentrated that help in this process.
I hope I've been of help.
Feel free to ask if you have further questions.
Thanks
