Question: my glucose levels have been risng quite a bit for the past two weeks...I am on 20 mg of Prozac daily and take glipizide and EX release metformin for my diabetes and XXXXXXX insulin before bed timeToujeo
could the Prozac be raising my level....I am eating well

Noted your concern.

There is adequate clinical evidence that use of fluoxetine (content of Prozac) is very rarely associated with significant rise in blood sugar levels in diabetes.

One should keep in mind as age and duration of Diabetes advances blood sugar control need increase in the dose and number of medicines.

Also other factors like poor diet control, lack of physical activity, physical or psychological stress or presence of infection may hamper blood sugar control.

Better to consult your treating doctor for detailed physical examination.
