Question : Hello...I was very recently diagnosed with diabetes (Friday!) and was also prescribed ranitidine for gerd. ER doctor prescribed metformin and I am curious as the the possible adverse drug interactions. Thank you.

That's why Metaformin usually started in small dose with gradual increase in dose every 3rd to 4th day to maximum recommend dose by 7th to 10th day.

Body get adapted to these side effects over the time with continuous use.
