Brief Answer:
There is no serious reaction

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

There is no serious reaction between mirtazepine 15 mg and sertraline 50 mg and so no risk of any adverse reaction such as coma or death. Having said this it is common practice and both medicines prescribed together for patients with depression.

I do not think you need to worried about the reaction between these two medications and you can take them together without any problems.

I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.

Hello

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

I understand that serotonin syndrome can occur when combination of mirtazapine and sertraline is used but it is very rare. I have prescribed the combination in atleast 200 patients by this date and I am yet to see any patient with serotonin syndrome and lethal outcome on use of above combination.

Secondly serononin syndrome occurs if two drugs are introduced at very high dose. The dose in your case is in lower range and possibility of serotonin syndrome is very low.

Thirdly even if occurs it is not something which can cause death if identified in early stage.

I hope this helps you further.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
