Question : My daughter is on Subutex can she take Valerian to help her sleep ?

There is no evidence of harmful interactions between these two preparations so it can be taken, just have it in recommended dosage.

She is also on Paroxotene I should have asked about that as well with Valerian

Valerian is a herbal products and it shouldnt have any serious side effects but of taken with other sedatives and antidepressants such as paroxetene, it may cause prolonged sleepiness. So it is not advisable to combine with sedatives such as alprazolam. PAroxotene and valerian can be taken but it should be taken separated at least 8 hours
