Does Vibramycin For Lung Infection Cause Drowsiness?

Question : I have been taking vibramycin 100 mg twice daily since Dec 23 for a lung infection. In the past two days I have an apparent sleepiness at meal times and at other events. Is this an acceptable reaction or should I reconsider the choice of drug?

Sleepiness is not one of the potential side effects of this drug.
Please also note that sometimes rare side-effects may not be included in the product summary of a drug.
Despite that, I believe that another cause should be sought before blaming the drug.
Sleepiness is sometimes caused by the infection itself.
