Does Waxol Loosen Up Ear Wax And Cause Tinnitus In The Ears?

Posted on Fri, 30 Jun 2023
Question: I AM DOING THIS TO COMPLE MY DETAILS:
My hearing Aids are playing up and everyones on holiday.
Following my last question, in which I was advised to continue my Waxol treatment then get my ears waxed. I did but still can't get my hearing Aids to work. The one that was humming because of the dislodged wax is still humming and I can't get the other one to work at all.
I guess I'll just have to wait until the 8th of January, and my appointment with Contact Hearing Autralia. Right?

Brief Answer:
Ear blockage

Detailed Answer:
Hi
The wax loosens up on using waxol but it might not come out spontaneously. The ears need to be cleaned up by an Ent specialist. Use of ear buds can further push the wax inwards and clog the canal.
Secondly please change the batteries for your hearing aids and if they still don't work properly, you should get the aids checked by an audiologist.
Take care
Thanks and regards

I had to get my ears syringed in preparation for my check up hearing ability test on the 8th of January. If the wax has been pushed further inwards, then the audiologist is going to make me get them cleaned again. OH BOTHER!

I've tried brand new batteries so much that I've wasted a lot of my supply of fresh batteries.

I guess I am going to have to just wait until then, miss the New Year countdown, and try to get used to the hum. Thanks for trying to help, anyway!
