Brief Answer:
CT scan can see very well if a cancer has spread.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

The fibrogastrocopy is the best test to diagnose a possible cancer in the stomach, because it can look closely in the stomach with a camera. But, CT scan is a rather good exam too because if would see very well a cancer that has been spread. If your doctors were not alarmed that means that they have been pretty sure that it had covered a good part of stomach.
I would suggest that you use the medicines for the stomach for 2 weeks and if not better, talk to you doctors about this exam.
Also, be careful with your diet and avoid spicy and greasy foods.

The Ct can see very well a possible lung cancer and also cancers in other parts of the body.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.

Regards,
Dr. Papaqako
