Question : Hello,
Our son fell and hit his ear on the coffee table. It appears to be bruised really bad but not hurt inside. We are wondering whether we need to be taking any other action or if there is soyethinmore we need to know. It black and blue and a bit swollen, it does not seem to bother hime too much.

He is 2.5 not 1.

Hello,

I have gone through your query and the attached pictures. The bruising is due to the trauma. The bruise or hematoma will reabsorb by itself in a few days.

Nothing more needs to be done other than applying ice and giving ibuprofen if he complains of pain.
