Question : recently I had my right lower back tooth pulled out, and I need to do implant for the same tooth that I did root canal last year. Can any specialist tell me if the root canal failure caused implant procedure?

Yes, if there is failure of your root canal procedure then you can go for Implant treatment.
Root canal treatment is done in tooth with deep caries or tooth with wasting disease. Causes of Failure of Root canal treatment can be due to not have proper working length , improper obturation ,not having crown after Root canal treatment is complete or due to Periodontal problem associated with RCT treated tooth.

If any of the cause led to failure, the affected tooth should be extracted and replaced by Artificial tooth. Implant treatment is best for replacement of missing tooth and you can go for it .
