Question : My 21 year old daughter found a lump in her breast. Doc is saying not cancer. Went to have ultrasound done and radiologist said most likely benign but has a few node also. She started using birth control pills about 6 months prior to the lump appearing. Biopsy scheduled just to be sure. Your thoughts?

Fibroadenoma or fibroadenosis most probably.

Hi XXXXXXX,

Non-painful and non-tender lump in the breast in a young female of 21 is usually a fibroadenoma. This is being means not cancerous.
So stop worrying.

A biopsy is already planned will confirm the diagnosis.

Although this does not give to lymph nodes, there other reasons like reactionary or infection being the cause. If lymph nodes are large FNAC under ultrasonography guidance can NE is done to get the probable cause.
