Question: How does having one adrenal gland affect the mind like thoughts intellectual level and decision making?

Brief Answer: Adrenal Detailed Answer: As long as the one adrenal gland is functioning well, there is no impact on the mind. It is important to note however that it is important to make sure it is working fine and that requires a thorough in-person assessment by a qualified endocrinologist in addition to several blood tests. Once it is certain the adrenal gland is working all right then the individual is as good as any other human with 2 normal adrenal glands

If it is not functioning well? If it is determined its functioning well does it last a life time or shudder the person have concerns?

Brief Answer: Follow up Detailed Answer: If it is not functioning well there can be problems and an Endocrinologist needs to be consulted in person. If it is functioning fine then it is expected to remain that way unless it is prone to the same problem that the other one had which resulted in that one either being removed or non - functional. Further one has to assume it will not get affected by any disease during the rest of the lifetime. But there are no assumptions in science and medicine
