Question : I am worried about protienurea I had blood tests on my kidneys that come back clear but I have bubbles in urine I am on diabetic tablets & blood pressure tablets pls help
Brief Answer:
Please get your urine examined for microalbumin
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.
The earliest detectable kidney involvement is the presence of microalbuminuria. This is easily tested in a lab. If present further progression to proteinuria can be reduced by use of a medicine of the ACEI or ARB group.
It is very important to have good blood sugar and blood pressure control to reduce the risk of developing proteinuria.
Take care,
Dr Noble Zachariah
