Brief Answer:
Vaginal infection

Detailed Answer:
if there is no pain in passing urine it's likely to be vaginal infection . you may use clotrimazole vaginal pessary once bedtime for 6 days with local application of clotrimazole cream. if not married can take tab flucon 150 mg bedtime for 3 days and tab timing 500 mg daily for 5 days and clotrimazole cream
if no relief pl do urine culture

Hi Doc,

The tab timing was not available in here. I wanted to confirm that will Terbinafine Tablets USP 250mg work? Chemist said that salt is same but this medicine come in 250mg only. Kindly suggest whether i can take this medicine as a substitute and dosage of same.
I rinse the area after every urination as as regular practice. I dnno what caused me this infection. Can sanitary pad be a reason for it? Coz this thing started after my periods first i thot it is normal itching which usually happens after periods but this stayed for long. Also this terbinafine if it is fine then i have to take it after meal of empty stomach? And one more thing sour smell if urine is due to this infection ?? I mean is it a normal symptom of this infection?
Please suggest. Thanks.

Hi Doc,

I got tab metronidazole in 200 mg so i am taking that twice which means total 400mg per day. I hope its fine or should i increase the dosage by taking one extra half of that tablet to make it 500 mg for whole day.
This is my last question. I wish a very happy new year to you and your family. I am feeling relieved and completely satisfied by your opinion. Thank u so much dear doctor. Keep smiling always just like you doing in your pic :). Will see you next time in case of any health trouble see ya till den.

Brief Answer:
400mg is fine

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Apologies for the late reply.

Metronidazole is dosage is fine. This should be fine. However since this is an antibiotic to avoid future bacterial resistance, it is always better to see your local doctor before starting it.
