Brief Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM

Detailed Answer:
There are evidence that castor oil may reduce cholesterol deposist or so called xanthomas but this effect is usually minor. In minority of people it will cause significant improvement. More likely, xanthomas will disappear if blood lipids are lowered by standard medicines( statines , fibrates) and dietary changes. If it will persist even after these measures, then local surgical and dermatologic therapy by excision, laser or electrocoagualtion is necessary. WIsh you good health. Regards
