Does Cell Phone Cause Cancer?
Question: Hi doctor, i need a clarification on the myth of keeping cell phone in pocket. In our busy lives as we all use cell phones and me personally use i-phone, is it safe to keep it in my pocket while am at work. I hear different stories of cell phone is dangerous to keep in pocket for radiotion exposure. is there any proven case of cancer by keeping cel phones in pocket?

As we know that XXXXXXX phones emit radio waves.These are low energy electromagnetic waves and it is non-ionizing in nature.Only effect of these waves are mild local thermal heating.
Chances of cancer due to XXXXXXX phones has been studied by case control and cohort study.There are no studies that have indicated that there is increased chance of cancer due to these rays.
Cancer is produced due to changes in DNA.Since radio waves are non ionizing in nature,it doesn't affect at DNA level and there are almost no chance of cancer.
However,possible effects of long term heavy use of XXXXXXX phones require further investigation.
