                                            Question : Dear Doctor.
Few years ago I had chlamydia and got it treated with antibiotics. For the past 5 months I have suffered from frequent urination WITHOUT pain/burning sesnsation or anything. In the mean time I had STD tests, ultrasound and all of them were clean.
Recently, I started physiotherapy - mostly prostate massage, but it didn't work at all.
Does chlamydia cause chronic nonbacterial prostatitis?
I appreciate your help in advance.

                                    Brief Answer:
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and alpha-adrenergic blockers
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and alpha-adrenergic blockers are usually used to control symptoms. Apart from this proper counselling regarding pain relief by a Psychiatrist also helps.
Diagnosis cannot usually be established by just doing couple of tests. But, frequent and continous follow ups would help the health care provider to come to a conclusion. Urine test would usually show WBC but culture are non bacterial. Semen culture may show high WBC.
Thanks!
