I had blood work and nothing showed but i found that i may have been exposed but haven't had a physical yet ( got one sched.) but i wondered if that would show on the blood work. And i also wondered if cefdinir could help that since i'm on that now.

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
Chlamydia infection can be picked up in blood by special investigations called serological tests.
Serological test measure the antibodies in the blood which can be detected in blood when a person contract the infection.
The chlamydia DNA can be detected by tests like PCR.
Thus, serological test or PCR can be done to detect the presence of the infectious agent.
Chlamydia infection can be treated by antibiotics.
Cefdinir is also effective against the bacteria.
