Question : hi' i caught my daughter drinking pinesol' can this harm her kidneys? she is in therapy but she is not truthful about how long she has been doing this. thank you

I appreciate your concern for your daughter.
One is confused by the kind of things youngsters get addicted to.
There are several cleaning solutions made by Clorox company under the brand Pine -sol.
The ingredients of the original are
Water
C10-12 Alcohol Ethoxylates
Glycolic Acid
Fragrance
Caramel
Dimethicone/Silica/PEG Distearate Antifoam
Sodium C14-17 Sec-Alkyl Sulfonate
Xanthan Gum
These mainly produce gastrointestinal symptoms and respiratory symptoms from aspirations. The ingredients may produce liver inflammation.
Kidneys are not usually affected and there is no significant irreversible damage.
You made the right decision in taking her to a therapist as it is important that she discontinues the habit.
