                                            Question : Dr
One new question: I read both No risk or negligible risk on this:
If a man fingers a woman who lets say she's infected with some disease and let's say he has a couple of small cuts or tears can the man get infected

                                    Brief Answer:
Minor risk of Herpes or Hpv but not Hiv
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Not usually. Specially if the cuts are not bleeding or not freshly bleeding. A cut that is more than a few hours old seals itself and is impermeable to Hiv hence Hiv cannot pass into the blood stream (Hiv has to gain direct access to blood stream).
However, there is some risk of acquiring herpes or Hpv; the infection being confined to the site of contact and the virus entering through the damaged epidermis of a cut. These virus can seed into the skin that has been damaged and grow to form localised skin lesions at the site of contact.

                                    Brief Answer:
Hpv can have a variable incubation period
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Incubation period of hpv can vary from days to weeks. Usually genital Hpv types don't infect extragenital sites such as skin; genital Hpv types are more suited for genital infection. Nevertheless they may sometimes affect extragenital sites.
Herpes hasa short incubation period of 2-10 days.
