It accumulate in renal impairment patients and develops toxicity in these patients.
Other side effect- dizziness, weight gain, drowsiness and peripheral edema.
Lyrica (pregabalin) -
It is more potent successor to gabapentin. Both are chemically related i.e. GABA analog but are different drugs.
They are closely related to each other.
Both have similar mechanism of action.
Both have more or less same indication.
