Question : I have low energy and foggy brain- i have tested for a lot but now i am thinking that it has to do with digestion/diet. I was told I wasn't gluten intolerant- but you never know- the one thing i have really noticed is that I think I get very gassy and that seems to make me tired and less clear headed- It's a weird connection that took me years to figure out- and many tests but i think it has to do with foods, food intolerance- but i have tried a little eliminating dairy-and gluten- i haven't been diligent because i get frustrated. but it seems like gas and bloating are symptoms that lead to low energy and foggy brain-

Brief Answer:
Foggy brain

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

I understand how annoying a foggy brain could be. Apart from thyroid and other tests you have mentioned I recommend getting tested for Vit b12, Vit D and serum cortisol as well.
I suggest you to do the following

1. Tab Omeprazole with domeperidone once a day will help prevent bloating and gas
2. Avoid food that create bloating like nuts, red meat, spices, etc
3. Try and lose weight and optimise your BMI to 18-23 kg/m2
4. Try meditation and yoga, it has helped many of my patients
5. have a healthy sleep-wake up cycle.
6. Do not skip meals. Have small meals several times a day rather than 3 large meals

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

Regards

Hello

Thanks for getting back.
FODMAP is an acronym, deriving from Fermentable Oligo-, Di-, Mono-saccharides And Polyols. It is mainly a list of foods to avoid in people who suffer from irritable bowel syndrome. It will not be of much help to you
