Brief Answer:
yes it can cause. consult a dentist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Too much grinding of teeth cause wear and tear of teeth that causes erosion of teeth enamel and infection of surrounding gums and jaw plates.
This teeth grinding motions can cause inflammation and pain in the head and neck also.
Also continous grinding keeps the muscles in constant tension causing pressure rise in tmj area which also cause inflammation and swollen lymph nodes.
If there occurs erosion and infection of exposed tooth roots or gums then it might result in enlarged lymph nodes because of the infection.
Detailed examination by a physician or a dentist is required, to correctly identify the causes of the teeth grinding and treat the cause.
Also treatment for the probable infection will also be required.
So i would like to advice you to consult a dentist as examination of teeth is important.
I hope i have answered your query well.
If you have any more query kindly write back to me will be happy to answer them.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
it might be infection. get it examined.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for following up with me.
Inflammation must have already ongoing and it could have resulted in infection.
Its not possible to see all corners and gums without the reflector probe of a dentist.
That is the reason i advised you to show it to a dentist as they can see from all sides and even small gaps and i fection if present.
Jaw pain, ear ache and even sometimed headache will all be there because of this reason only.
Kindly show to a dentist. It will help a lot.
Any more queries are welcome. Will answer them.
Thank you
