Question : Symptoms: Woke up this am with top of head feeling like it had a tight band around top of head; extremely dizzy upon attempting to stand; once I'm upright, can stand only a couple of minutes before being forced to sit or recline. While standing, a feeling of pain & dep fatigue starts across back of shoulders & spreads downward towards waist; have avoided ER all day because of flu epidemic; BP in normal range this AM; no elevation in temp. I'm 89 & have always had good health. Question:
Do I "ride it out?"

Hello,

After going through the medical details provided by you I understand your concern for your health and I would like to tell you that your symptoms points us towards the need of cardiac evaluation.

Taking into consideration your age group I would like to suggest you get a few tests done:

1. Complete Blood Count

2. Serum electrolytes

3. ECG

4. Echocardiography

We need to rule out basic pathologies which could cause these symptoms like anaemia, electrolytes imbalance, any cardiac dysfunction or valvular abnormalities.

Kindly get the following tests done.
