HPE of abortus cannot identify Herpes

Hi,

I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) Histopathology examination (HPE) will be done on the products of conception ( Miscarriage).

2) This can check abnormalities in the abortus and conditions like molar pregnancy can easily be identified.

3) Herpes zoster is a viral infection and not possible to identify by HPE method.

Pregnancy was 2 /4 weeks pregnant

Can abnormal cells from hsv2 be detected whilst testing tissue for molar pregnancy?
Is the biopsy for molar pregnancy on the tissue the same tests as pap smear tests as hsv2 because hsv can cause abnormal results on smear tests.

Pap Smear is different from HPE

Hi,

Biopsy on molar pregnancy tissue is different and pap smear for HSV2 is different. Smear is different from HPE.
Hence it is not possible to identify herpes during HPE for molar pregnancy.
