Can he call meds into a pharmacy in my vicinity?
Brief Answer:
ciprofloxacin is good for most cases
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
ciprofloxacin is usually the best choice regarding lower urinary tract infections. Most doctors would prescribe a less potent antibiotic though unless it's a recurrence or the patient is not antibiotic-naive (and resistant pathogens are suspected). Ciprofloxacin's use is restricted in many countries to prevent resistant pathogens development.
So if you haven't used any antibiotic so far (at least for the last 3-4 months) then 'simpler' antibiotics like amoxicillin-clavulanate can be preferred.
I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!
