I would explain as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Crestor is an antilipemiant drug without antihypertensive effects.

Allopurinol is used to control elevated blood uric acid levels, but has no antihypertensive effects.

Metoprolol has modest antihypertensive effects.

Before deciding to start a certain antihypertensive therapy, it is necessary to closely monitor his BP values for a couple of days up to a week, in order to confirm elevated average BP values, that deserve antihypertensive therapy.

Also several lab tests should be performed:

- complete blood count
- thyroid hormone levels
- kidney function tests
- liver function tests
- blood electrolyte levels

You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
